QR or Quick Response Codes…are catching on! Here’s the scoop…

Math TV is using QR codes to create interactive educational books to use in the classroom.

We’re starting to see these QR codes everywhere. I’ve even seen them being used at the DMV! The image above illustrates how Math TV is using QR codes to revolutionize academic math books used in the classroom.

Quick Response Codes have captured the imagination of the advertising world with their quirky displays and impressive technology. These QR codes were developed by DENSO WAVE in 1994. They bridge print and web marketing with a scan of your smart phone. The reason that these kinds of bar codes have become more popular is because of their reading speed and accuracy. Many business small and big alike are taking advantage of QR codes to try and make the advertising experience more interactive in order to receive feedback on their product or service. What better way to link to your business URL than an instant scan of a QR code. Aside from just pure website advertisement, there are plenty of ways to experiment with QR codes including: real-time promotions, Real estate info, business cards, product packaging or also tracking systems.  I’ll be including more information on how to utilize these wonderful QR codes in your print and web advertising. Stay tuned!
